Any baked dessert for the frozen meal program should be made at least one day ahead before they are included with meals for delivery. This will allow the desserts to cool and freeze properly.
One frozen dessert should be given for every 5-7 meals. When sending less than 5 meals, desserts should be cupped and frozen individually using leftover desserts from the noon meal or something received from OFH. You may also choose to send out the individual cupped desserts for those who receive 5 meals, especially when you have a lot of leftover desserts.
Please review the cost breakdown on the bottom of each recipe. Ingredients obtained from Ozark Food Harvest (OFH) will significantly lower the cost of each baked item.
Many of the cakes above may be made using sugar-free jello, sugar-free pudding, sugar-free cake or sugar-free brownie mix. Below are some additional recipes for your convenience or make a sugar-free dessert using one of your favorite recipes whenever needed.
